Every factual statement about tax or compliance on this site comes from a claim registry rather than from a writer's recollection. A page cannot state a requirement in its own words; it can only reference a claim that has been recorded, sourced and checked. This is enforced in the publishing system, not by editorial discipline alone.
How claims are labelled
Readers see what kind of statement they are reading. An OFFICIAL REQUIREMENT is stated in law or by KRA and carries an official source. An EXPLANATION is our plain-language account of a requirement. PRACTICAL GUIDANCE is operational advice and is explicitly not a legal position. THIRD-PARTY INFORMATION is attributed. PRODUCT INFORMATION concerns software, including our own.
Verification
A claim is published only after a reviewer has checked it against its primary source and recorded the date. Until that happens the claim is withheld from published pages automatically. This means a page may deliberately say less than it could: we would rather publish an incomplete page than a confident wrong one, particularly about penalties and thresholds.
Freshness
Kenyan tax rules change with each Finance Act and with regulations made during the year. Every source carries a review interval, and when a source goes out of date every page depending on it is flagged and held for refresh rather than left standing.
Use of AI
AI assists with drafting, clustering, summarising and suggesting internal links. It is not permitted to originate a legal requirement, a statistic, a research finding or a local fact. Every such statement traces to a recorded source, and anything that does not is withheld by the publishing system regardless of how it was drafted.
What we will not publish
Pages that exist only to occupy a keyword. Location pages for towns we cannot describe. Statistics we cannot attribute. Research we have not conducted. Requirements we have not verified.
